Connection. Catharsis. Celebration.

MY Speaking, PERFORMANCES, AND WORKSHOPS OFFER DEEP HEALING

Picture this: I walk onto the stage, and before I even open my mouth, you can feel the entire room shift. I am fully present, making eye contact, speaking directly to every person in the room — and when I begin to sing, it is like I am having a conversation with each of them. My voice carries decades of small-town Iowa church solos, years of rigorous training, and the kind of life experience that turns notes on a page into actual human connection. By the time I reach the final phrase, half the audience is in tears — not because they are supposed to be, but because something in them just remembered what it feels like to be truly heard.

That is what I believe the voice can do. Not just perform — but heal. Not just entertain — but liberate. Whether I am speaking or singing, every offering I give is rooted in the conviction that the voice is the most sacred instrument we carry, that every voice matters — especially the ones that have been told to be quiet — and that when we lift our voices together, something divine stirs in the room.

As a keynote speaker, I weave live music and storytelling into talks that move audiences to both tears and action — exploring the power of the human voice, the courage it takes to be heard, and why reclaiming our voices may be one of the most healing things we can do in a disconnected world. My signature talk, Coming Home to Our Voice, is available as a keynote, a workshop, or an intimate concert-reflection — and can be tailored to your audience and event.

I am also available as a guest performer, retreat leader, and workshop facilitator — for intimate gatherings and large stages alike, from conference halls to grief retreats to worship communities. Wherever people are longing to feel more connected — to themselves, to each other, and to something larger — I would be honored to bring this work to your community.

Let’s journey together.

Merch + Music

I can have copies of my CDs, records, and book available for purchase at your event along with intentional merchandise designed to ground and inspire your group.

How do you describe your Music Style?

WHERE HEALING MEETS THE HUMAN VOICE

My musical style in a nutshell? It’s all about the voice — its power and its beauty. I took everything the classical world taught me about technique and precision, then threw out the rulebook and kept the pure heart and soul underneath. With roots in opera, church music, and education, I create songs, performances, and experiences that live where emotional wellness, spirituality, and accessible artistry meet. My music blends and bends genres, serving as mantras for healing and empowerment — an invitation for listeners to find their own voices and embody the affirmations within.

Workshops & Retreats

Vocal Empowerment

Your voice doesn’t live in a vacuum. It lives in your body — connected to your story, your pain, your joy, and your truth. My workshops bridge accessible artistry, emotional healing, and the spiritual power of the voice, because I believe every voice matters — especially the ones that have been told to be quiet.

These are intimate, experiential journeys. Together we explore how the voice actually works, move through guided vocal meditation, and lift our voices in community through my original song-affirmations. No singing experience is required. No performance is expected. Just voices, bodies, and the brave, beautiful work of being truly heard.

Each offering can be booked with or without a concert and adapted for any length of time or size of group — as a standalone workshop, part of a larger event, or a full retreat experience designed around the power of the voice for your community.

Let’s journey together.

"Like a voyage into the dazzling darkness the mystics tell us about."

Not only did I learn a lot about voice and intonation, but I also experienced marvelous healing. All my life I have been anxious and embarrassed by my voice. The sessions were as much therapeutic as informative. You radiate a strong sense of holiness and deep caring for your students… The musical meditations, where we sang the vowels at so many pitches and volumes, took centering prayer to a new level — like a voyage into the dazzling darkness the mystics tell us about.

– Bill

"You truly have a gift"

You truly have a gift not only of voice and teaching, but of being completely and joyfully present. I was anxious before the retreat, but that melted away immediately. I came away feeling better about the world. Thank you for being you, Mary Jane, and for sharing so much of yourself.

– Holly

"Your music belongs on the stage"

You have a gift of helping individuals feel safe and bringing the group together to support and care for one another. The highlight for me was learning to sit with discomfort — leaning into it, going through it, and doing the hard thing anyway. The style, story, and power behind your songs remind me of Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera. Your music belongs on the stage.

– Sr. Shari

“You are awesome and your work is beautiful.”

It’s exactly what so many of us need right now. You have such a powerful, wonderful, loving, healing ministry.

– Christine

"Every time you sang, tears filled my eyes..."

…all from a different place and with a different purpose. You made a difference in this world, today and every day.

– Heather

Yes! I’m happy to take song requests. My live performances range from intimate musical journeys toward wholeness—featuring songs from my debut album and new compositions—to high-energy experiences with original songs and powerful covers of the stage’s greatest women.

Yes—please feel free to share on social media!

I typically need about 30 minutes for setup, which includes a sound check. If I am traveling by car, I will bring everything I need including my keyboard and a sound system for small to medium spaces. In big spaces, I prefer to work with an existing sound system and will simply need a line out for my keyboard and a vocal mic and boom stand. If I am flying we will coordinate details about keyboard and sound system.

Not at all—these offerings are for everyone. My music comes from a place of love which translates in any setting. Depending on the energy and purpose of the event, I can adapt to complement the mood and setting.

Think we could be a good match?
